I get this almost on a daily basis now and have had it for quite some time: -Left ear only -Closer to the end of my day. -Can see a vein in my ear that is normally not apparent. -Sometimes feel it along my neck and face leading up to the ear, and slightly above the ear at times as well. Things I have associated it with in theory: -Caffeine as I drink a few cups a day, but usually the first part of my day only. -Sodium -Lack of sleep, long days -I live the overnight life (awake at 7pm, asleep by 1pm on a typical day) -Blood Pressure (As the veins in my left arm sometimes go very thick and heavy at the same time) -Vascular restriction (So it feels like and based on what I have read) -Red Ear Syndrome kind of sounds like what we are all dealing with, however very few cases are diagnosed as such. I also don't find I get migraines. Other thoughts: -Had wisdom teeth removed. The bottom left one did not heal correctly leaving a small opening which gets infected quite often. Not always do I feel that it is infected, however it may be linked. -Had Blood test, normal. EKG normal. -Things I will be trying in the future. Regular exercise (cardio) to see if it is just due to lack of it. May help with the vascular side of things. -Better diet (already started) including lowering sodium intake and caffeine intake. I sometimes feel that these might be early signs of worse problems to come if I don't make health conscious choices to better the situation. I will keep you updated if I am able to get this under control myself.
